Dal Makhni

Dal Makhni: Dal is No Onion No Garlic This recepi I am following since my college day and my signature dish..every1 love my style of Dal Makhni..This recepi I got from a hotel me try it you wont's keeper

1 cup whole black urad soaked overnight
200 gm butter
2-3 Tbs cream
2 tsp ginger paste
4-5 medium size tomatoes
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriender powder
1 tap garam masala
salt as per taste
1 tsp kasturi methi

Boil urad dal with 1 tsp of salt until broken in half and very tender. Mesh to a creamy consistency.

In the mean time boil tomatoes untill cooked and skin crackes

Peel off the skin and make puree

In a deep pan heat 2 tsp of butter, add cumin seeds and then add ginger paste.

Once done add red chilli powder and tomato puree and cook untill thick.

Add 150 gm of butter and cook until butter seprates.

Add coriender powder and garam masala and cook for few seconds.

Add mashed urad dal and mix well, adjust salt and water consistency and boil for 3-4 mins.

Add Kasturi methi and mix well.

Add cream and again boil for 1-2 mins.

Your creamy dal makhni is ready garnish with coriender leaves and cream while serving.
