I never liked store bought choclate powders as they are too sweet and too less choclaty..If you want to drink strong choco flavor, it becomes too sweet. secondly there are so many preservatives and chemicals that you dont feel like to give to kids so regularly. Here is a healthy version of choclate powder that you can customise as per you taste and obviously no preservatives :)
ingredients:
3/4 cup castor or fine sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder(optional)
1 tbs grated dark choclate (optional)
Method:
sift cocoa powder and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir in sugar and choclate. Fill in a dry airtight jar and enjoy :)
Hot chocolate: mix 2 table spoon of homemade chocopowder in 1 tbs of hot water. Mix well and add hot or warm milk. sprinklr some powder on top.
Mochacino : Add 1 teaspoon of choclate powder and 1 teaspoon of instant coffee in 1 tablespoon of hot water. Mix well and add hot milk with froth and sprinkle with choclate powder.
If you want top your hot choclate with whipped cream and top with choclate syrup. It's my personally favourite.
note:
3/4 cup sugar is for mild sugary flavour, add 1 cup if you want more sweet and equal amount if you wany very mild sugar.
